As owners of a property portfolio, after a number of years using a variety of Managing Agents, we were never entirely happy with the service we were getting. Often this was focused around the management and particularly maintenance issues. We identified a natural conflict in that Agents were happy with an annual turnaround of tenants while as Landlords we always preferred our tenants to stay on and extend contracts.
Agents are reliant on the steady flow of fees charged to the new applicants and landlords. As Landlords we found we were constantly turning properties round which is costly and can be time consuming. Further to this are the void periods where loss of rent and Council Tax can really add up.
We pride ourselves in the retention of tenants as well as regularly housing tenants who return to us after a year renting elsewhere.
